I hate Duotrope's new icons.

You're not alone. The "box around a box" really doesn't help any.

The more flexible tailoring of the submissions page is nice, but it's a pain that (so far as I can tell so far) it doesn't remember your preferences, even within a session.

Yeah, I despise having to uncheck all those boxes to look at my pending subs (which is what I spend 95% of my time at duotrope doing). I sent them a suggestion to add a clear-all button. If I'd noticed at the time that the page went back to all subs when you left came back, I would have included a note about that too.

Yep, unchecking the boxes is definitely irritating. I wonder why they're not unchecked to begin with. That would seem to make more sense.

They've added links to clear all the boxes now, but the page still doesn't store your last preferences. And gosh are the new icons ugly! They looked the same to me the other day but now they're hideous. Really bad color scheme.

Yep, hideous. They make the site look cheap. Hey, since I have you on the line, so to speak, have you heard from Nanobison recently? Issue #10, which we're both supposed to be in, if I'm not mistaken, was slated for December or January but here we are in March and issue #9 hasn't even come out yet. I e-mailed Doug two weeks ago to follow up with him but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. Not a good sign.

I have heard from him. I'll drop you an email. It's complicated.
