On my short fiction reading, that is. I may have to hold off on renewing a couple of my subscriptions until I get through the bulk of this ever-growing pile. There are a lot of good mags out there right now. For example: Murky Depths. I just finished issue #1 and I have to say that I'm very impressed. MD is a hybrid comic book/fiction magazine, which is way cool for someone who grew up reading comics as I did. My favorites from issue #1 were "I Bleed Light" by Ed Norden (essentially poetry in comic format), and "Today is Not" by Michael Sellars (straight prose). Production values on this mag are through the roof; you really should check it out. I'm especially pumped because I've got a story slated for issue #2, due out December of this year.
